Our laser and RF technologies can resolve your overactive bladder issues.
Many women turn to vConfidence when they are experiencing symptoms associated with vaginal atrophy. These can include dyspareunia, vaginal dryness and laxity, urge incontinence, dysuria and stress incontinence. All of these conditions can have their roots in vaginal atrophy (atrophic vaginitis), vulvovaginal atrophy and urogenital atrophy (which is a condition that causes the vagina and tissue near the vagina to get dry, thin and inflamed).
Vaginal atrophy is caused by an estrogen deficiency resulting in a reduction of blood flowing an increase the PH balance of the vagina. Estrogen depletion can be caused by menopause, perimenopause, certain cancer treatments, vaginal births, some medications, problems with hormone replacement therapy or postpartum adjustments. Vaginal atrophy can cause women to experience infections, dysuria, or urinary tract infection (UTI) issues. These are among the most common vaginal health issues that vConfidence’s highly skilled specialists can help you address with non-invasive solutions with no downtime.
WHAT VAGINAL PROCEDURES DO WE OFFER?
ADDITIONAL VAGINAL PROCEDURE OPTIONS
HORMONE THERAPY
Hormone therapy for vaginal health is often used to treat symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood swings, sleep disorders, and decreased sexual desire. Keep in mind that vaginal health concerns are not limited to symptoms of menopause.
It can be prescribed as local therapy – creams, rings or tablets – or systemic therapy – oral drugs, patches, gels, and/or implants. These therapies are produced by pharmaceutical companies and may contain a variety of ingredients including, but not limited to: estrogen, combined estrogen and progesterone, selective estrogen receptor modulators, and sometimes testosterone.
Please consult with a physician before considering hormonal therapy as an option.
SURGERY
Surgery is another option for vaginal health. Though the vaginal sling and the transvaginal mesh are two examples of surgeries that are utilized less frequently.
The vaginal sling procedure is often recommended to solve symptoms of urinary incontinence. This procedure is a significant surgery and should be considered only after evaluating all of your other options. Many vConfidence patients have not required the vaginal sling procedure after receiving treatment from one of our non-invasive energy-based devices.
Cosmetic surgeries include vaginoplasty and labiaplasty. Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure to tighten vaginal tissue. Labiaplasty is a surgically performed procedure on the labia (the ‘lips’ of the vagina). They are both considered plastic surgery and can be performed on their own or in conjunction with each other.
As with most surgical procedures, these procedures are invasive, expensive, and require days and/or weeks of downtime or modifications to a woman’s lifestyle including sexual activity.
Please consult with a vConfidence certified physician to discuss your options and ask about non-invasive options first.
